The National Center for Science Education solicited entries for bumper sticker slogans related to evolution. Three entries by Professors Lombrozo and Griffiths were among the winners.

Prof. Lombrozo has been awarded a 21st Century Science Initiative Grant from the James S. McDonnell Foundation. Her project, titled “Knowledge from nowhere: How thinking leads to learning,” will begin in January of 2012.

Prof. Lombrozo has been awarded an early career grant from the National Science Foundations for her research on explanation in cognition.
